Great Camera - New product issues
Rating: 4
Amazing picture & video quality. The 3D images really pop! It should be noted that in video mode, when the camera moves, so does the viewing area inside the VR headset. Example: Camera is turned the opposite direction while recording, the viewer with headset playing the video will have to physically turn around to stay in view of the video.

Interesting idea

Video quality is good. Getting images on the new oculus go took some work, but doable. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Decent. Not half bad. Not half good, either.
Rating: 3
Con: Photos dont have HDR, a feature that all cell phone cameras have had for the last few years. So photos tend to have blown out light areas or extremely dark areas in photos of mixed lighting conditions. Pro: File sizes aren't as gigantic and large as other 180/360 photos/videos from other cameras.Much more manageable. Cons: The wifi is dreadfully slow. It takes a very long time to transfer files. Streaming also seems to be handicapped at a very slow bitrate. Pro: I like the simple aesthetic. I also like NOT having a viewfinder. Just shoot it and forget it. It makes me more carefree to take more pictures and not worry so much about getting perfect framing. If I need framing, I can fire up the app. Con: I hope the 3D 180VR filetype that the Mirage Camera uses becomes more widely supported. Right now only lenovo and google products seem to support it. Other VR headsets are having problems viewing the photos/videos. Pro: The steroscopic effect is excellent. You can really see a little bit of depth. No, you wont feel like you are actually there, but its better than 2D! Con: Microphones could be better. Sound is a little tinny. Pro: Super light and pocketably Con: No case and the lenses can get smudged way too easy. Pro: USB-C ALL THE THINGS! Con: No accessories for sale. No wall charger, No extra batteries, No 180 compatible tripod.

Good image quality, but annoying firmware bugs.
Rating: 2
I bought this camera to capture VR memories of our new baby. The quality of the VR pictures is great and the videos are pretty good (using the 4k setting) given the price of the camera. Unfortunately, this product suffers from some annoying bugs and I honestly don't understand how it got released in this state. Let me list them: - in VR videos, audio and video track are desynchronized by up to 0.6s. This is very noticeable! The offset is random and varies from video to video, so you cannot easily fix them in a batch but have to do it one by one (using ffmpeg, for instance) - downloading videos to my Android phone (Pixel 2 XL) is very instable. It looks like the camera goes to sleep after 3 minutes, but the download of a camera full of video (8GB) takes more than half an hour. I was not able to transfer more than a couple of pictures wirelessly but had to use a cable or remove the sd card. - the VR postprocessing tool (Google VR180 Creator) is not available for Windows (yet?) - only for Mac and Linux - the camera is slow. Start up time is about 30 seconds and immediately after the shutter does not work for another 10 seconds or so. Shutter lag for taking pictures is more than 1s. - the Android VR180 companion app (which is required to use the Mirage Camera properly as it doesn't have a display to switch settings, for instance) is instable, slow, and has only the bare minimum set of features: There are almost no settings and the video and image playback is very minimalistic as well. There's not even an option to view content in Google photos (which has a much better interface) I hope Lenovo will address these issues in an update soon. Lenovo, if you fix only one thing, please fix the audio/video synchronization problem. But if you want to have customers returning to your brand I suggest you fix all of these issues.

Get it!

Absolutely love it! Adding a few accessories makes the experience better like hand grips, power pack etc. A little heavy and arduous to wear for long period of time but you get used to it. Im having a blast so far and Im only a week in!

Great VR set

Does what was expected. Looks nice there is a tiny bit of screen door but you forget about it mostly. Enough games to keep your entertained not nearly as close as a console with games but if have a gaming pc can play a lot of pancake games on here too.

Works very well. Nice to not be tethered to a PC. Good, solid construction. Good value at the normal price of $399, although I see it for up to $600 other places. It's not light on the head. You'll know you are wearing it. But, that goes for all VR headsets. The bands do adjust nicely to hold it to your head. And there's an adjustment to change the distance between the lenses to match your eyes. Good sound, but there's a headphone jack also. It includes a very long USB charge cable, so would actually allow you to be plugged in to a charger while using the headset, if it was really needed. Untethered is the future for all VR headsets.

Almost perfect

This thing is incredibly cool, no way around it. The graphics are amazing and if this is something you're not used to, like I have never really experienced VR before myself, then it's kind of mind blowing it first to see something so amazing. I do have a few grapes though, it has frozen up several times for no apparent reason, the games are pretty expensive to buy, adding a method of payment took two days and their customer support blamed my bank instead of them even though their forms are full of this Complaint. So bottom line it's quite expensive, the battery has a very short life only a couple hours, but the graphics are amazing. If you don't mind only playing for a few hours at a time then I definitely recommend it

I found shopping online to be a delightful experience. My ordered arrived on time and was exactly what I wanted for my son's birthday. I am rather new at shopping online but I certainly will be doing so again.

When a brother and sister locked together for 50 days can play a virtual quest together (yes, we have 2) in Rec Room(a free game) win and celebrate together and even find new friends while in quarantine is it worth $399? Absolutely!
