Love it!
Rating: 5
This is what I've been wanting on a watch. Good battery life, get the basic notifications, monitor my steps and heart rate, and it actually looks and feels like a good watch! Getting the screen to lit up and updating for notifications can be tricky at times but I think some software upgrades could help. I have no regrets about this watch.

Perfect Balance of Smart and "Normal"
Rating: 5
Have had this watch for about a month now to replace a Fitbit Flex 2 that died and wanted something to just let me know I had an email, text, phone call and count my steps. This watch does this perfectly. To all the haters in the comments, IT IS NOT A SMARTWATCH AND YOU DID NOT PAY SMARTWATCH PRICES!!! OK, I'm done with that rant. The "e-ink" is easy to read in the daylight, the hands do glow a bit in the dark, the notifications are enough that you are not constantly staring at your watch (Apple-watch users I am looking at you!), and there is just enough customization that leaves you wanting to do more. That does not frustrate me, this is a NEW product, there will be issues as the kinks get worked out. I have hemmed and hawed if I truly like this watch or just want to like it. For my needs, I love it. Sure, there is always something more you could want, but this model hits that sweet-spot of classic and modern technology. Do your research before you buy and understand what you are buying. You will be happier than if you did not.

Exellent Watch, Great Features!
Rating: 5
I would consider myself one of the early adopters of the fossil HR and the moment I saw it, I knew it was exactly what I was looking for. Something that didn't sacrifice form over function, but also gave me exactly what I needed without the extras that I didn't. At first the notifications were limited to a few apps and some messaging platforms. I assumed this was for testing purposes, to be sure that notifications of a smaller sample size would be delivered accurately and timely to the watch, so that did not bother me as I knew it was temporary. Once the big update came, WOW. I could not ask for anything better. Getting notifications on my watch helps cure my FOMO (Fear of Missing Out) without having the urge to take my phone out of my pocket. Its low profile, classic design is a welcome breathe of fresh air against the trend of black squares or circles on your wrist. I love the battery life, it really does last as long as it says, some times a day or two past depending on usage. With the new update you can set your own custom images behind the watch face, filling the e-ink display with your own personal touch. It is a monochrome display, so all colour will be removed, but that does not bother me personally. This idea is something WearOS simply can not touch on Fossils UI. If you are looking for an all out watch with all the bells and whistles, this is not it. For me, I rather have a watch that does the essentials well than do "everything" with sub par performance. It looks great, feels great, and I had no trouble falling asleep with this on. Are there improvements that can be made? sure, there always is, but its current state, it is a really good watch. You cant beat this one in its category. The "Delight to Dollar" Ratio is just right.

Long battery life and great looks

Super happy to discover this watch existed. I hadn't yet bought a watch because I didn't want another device to charge daily. Overall does pretty much everything I want. Excellent watch.

Almost a perfect hybrid watch
Rating: 5
First, I want to note that the color of the watch and the band are much darker in person than the photos on Fossil's site. The looks of the watch is very nice! The leather band is very classy and I love the look of the face. It syncs up nicely with my Android phone - haven't tried it with iOS. The step counter seems accurate and syncs nicely with Google Fit. The battery life on this thing is great! I'm not sure 14 days is accurate but at least 7-10 days without a problem. This gave me the ability to regularly use sleep tracking which is almost impossible with most smart watches due to battery life. The only dislikes I have for this watch are fairly minor/knit-picky. 1) the digital display is hard to see in less than perfect lighting - and the built-in light isn't a great help either. 2) I wish the sleep tracking let you dig a little deeper and see the exact times you woke up, were in sound sleep and light sleep. 3) notifications are kind of hard to read and take a lot of work to clear out Again, those are not a big deal to me... I'm really enjoying the watch a great deal!

The best option currently for smarts and battery
Rating: 4
Been using this watch for about 8 months now and and really enjoying it. The accompanying app works well, and since the release of this watch Fossil has already drastically improved the app software, now allowing you to receive notifications from any app on your phone. The band is a thin leather on the outside with rubber underneath that sits against your skin helping with moisture. The watch does not offer wireless charging, and therefore requires you to take extra special care of the single proprietary charging cable that's included. The watch band broke on me 5 months in, requiring me to purchase a replacement (it broke right at the spring bar). The software also requires you to hit several buttons through the settings each night to turn on Do Not Disturb, which is not only frustrating but has made the middle button even more worn out than previously anticipated. --- Battery Life: Easily 14+ days for me each time (Score: 5/5) --- Buttons: Great feedback on the top and bottom button, but the middle and most important one is a bit mushy. (Score: 3/5) --- Face: The watch glass face has not scratched at all as of yet, however there seems to be no information found on what type of glass it is. This leads one to believe that it is not reinforced gorilla glass. (Score: 4/5) --- Charging: Requires a proprietary charger and does not support wireless charging. However it does charge to full in about an hour. (Score: 2/5) --- Color: I got the brown version, however due note that the face of this watch looks black and not brown as shown in the photo. Still looks elegant but the brown color shown in the photo is inaccurate. (Score: 4/5) --- Customer Service: This has been excellent as I've already contacted them several times with issues I've had with the app, and have received fast and courteous replies along with an app update that already addresses several of the issues I've had. (Score: 5/5)

Come for the e-ink, stay for the style
Rating: 4
Have only had the watch for a couple of weeks, but I have really grown to like it. I was a fan of Pebble smartwatches, but unfortunately the company making those e-ink smartwatches is no more. This is the only smartwatch on the market with e-ink today, as far as I know. This line of Fossil hybrid watches still has room to grow in their e-ink technology, but it is a very functional and very appropriately-styled watch (which can be worn for any occasion). My requirement for a smartwatch is that the screen always stay on, or at least there is some way to tell the time/date without waking up the smartwatch. This watch does that. Twice. Traditional analog hands over the e-ink is really fun, and I like to make them move with a flick of the wrist. Thank you for releasing this line of watches, Fossil. I look forward to being a part of your innovation in this space in the coming years!

Almost really good...
Rating: 3
Looks great. Battery life is excellent. Notification support is terrible. The good: +I love the look of the watch. Unless you look closely you can't tell it is a smartwatch. +The size is perfect. +After 2 weeks I still have 31% battery remaining which is crazy good. The bad: -Notification support is awful. It doesn't give you notifications for everything your phone does. It only supports a handful of apps. NOWHERE in the marketing materials is this limitation mentioned. My work email (which is through Outlook) is not supported. Neither is Telegram or Skype. -The customization doesn't really give you any meaningful options. It's very limited. -Tapping to turn on the light is almost never recognized. You have to bang on it very hard. Even doing that it takes multiple tries. And the customization wont let you move this function over to a physical button, which I would prefer. -The watch band that comes with the watch is leather, however be aware that is is not 100% leather. The part that touches your skin is rubber. I found this to be uncomfortable and bought a 3rd party band that feels softer.

A solid watch but hard to see
Rating: 3
I really liked the watch. However, the LEDs that are supposed to come on with a double tap are very unreliable. Sometimes it would take 10 or so taps to come on. Without the light it is extremely difficult to read the time in the dark. Other than that it was a solid watch. The software will get better I'm sure. There needed to be an option for a permanent digital clock on the back display though.

I really love this watch, however the software kills it
Rating: 1
The Collider HR watch is very nice itself, but the software is absolutely terrible. A few issues: - Color: Watch is much darker than the photos. Its more black than light brown. Still looks nice, but NOT the color you see in the photos. - App Notification: the app only supports notifications for 13 apps. I have several others there are required - Wyze Cam, Hangouts Chat (separate app from Hangouts) Skype, etc. I don't understand this limited availability. I saw in an announcement that they are releasing support for more apps (including Google Inbox [which doesn't exist anymore]). However they will never keep up with the thounds of new apps being introduced everyday that people use. - While the watch has several useful functions (Stopwatch, View Past Notifications, Wellness Dashboard, Workout Mode, Music Control, Timer, Weather), the only way to access them on the watch is to link them to one of the 3 buttons. Lets say you don't have the Stopwatch linked to one of the 3 buttons - want to access it? You can't. You can set up multiple 'profiles' with different functions linked, but you have to go into your phone, into the Fossil App, and change it. - Do Not Disturb schedule doesn't link with phone. The app will notify me even if the phone is in DND mode (for example overnight). The watch either needs to copy the DND from the phone, or be able to set a schedule for DND. - Turn of HR sensor. I don't care about continuous HR monitoring. I'd like the ability to turn off the HR monitoring, which you can't do. - Phantom notifications. I get all kinds of notifications for apps that only come through on the watch and not the phone. For example, The watch buzzes with notification when it's clearing, and 'no new message' with Snapchat. - Alarms & timers syncing from the phone - if you set a timer on your phone, the watch does not notify you if it goes off. You have to go into the Fossil App and set a timer in there to get your watch to buzz. - Random disconnect
